Don’t Miss: Alt-J, Mumford + Sons and more on sale today!
It’s pay day time, so what better excuse to splurge on some tickets! Here’s our picks of the hottest new shows, all on sale today (June 29)
The guys with the nerdiest band-name in recent times (alt+j makes a delta symbol on a mac keyboard) are headed back to the homeland in Autumn to play a handful of intimate shows. The band can be found touring the US in August, in support of their album, The Awesome Wave, due out in the states in September. They will visit Oxford, Brighton, Manchester and Glasgow, before they finish up in London’s Electric Ballroom on the 5th. With surprises in the past including a live violinist during Taro and a full balcony choir, ticket-holders are in for a treat. Catch Alt-J play the smaller venues while you still can, as they’re bound to blow up in the future.
Barbie’s been busy. Ahead of her lengthy US tour, Minaj has announced further UK and Ireland dates, with the venues steadily getting bigger and bigger. Having rocked Hackney Marshes here in London at the weekend, expect many outfit changes and eccentric stage setups on her reloaded European tour dates, which will see the Starships singer hitting France, Switzerland, Belgium, and a host of venues in the UK and Ireland. Today will be a pink Friday indeed.
Marcus Mumford and his musical sons have been quiet lately on the releases front. But they haven’t been idle, in the midst of a relentless tour, as well as working on the much-anticipated follow-up to their Mercury-nominated debut. Waistcoats at the ready—tickets for their headlining US tour go on sale today. Expect plenty of the banjo-beating classics, as well as the chance to be the first to hear their new material. Don’t miss it!
