Don’t Miss: Bon Iver, Morrissey and more on sale today!
As the summer slowly passes us by, it’s time to start planning our Autumn gig calendars. Plan ahead, and don’t miss our handpicked selection of the hottest new shows on sale tomorrow (June 22)
UK & IRELAND
Bon Iver / UK Arena Tour / November 8 – November 12
Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon has truly outgrown that infamous cabin in the woods. Following an extensive US and European tour, the Grammy Award-winners are now gearing up to bring their delicate brand of folk to a few lucky UK arenas. If their recently released iTunes Session EP is anything to go by, we recommend that you don’t miss them live, especially with a potential Bjork cover on the cards. On your marks, London, Manchester, Glasgow, and Dublin.
UK
Bloc Party / UK Tour / October 12 – October 20
With all the block parties going on in the UK over the recent Jubilee weekend, there was one that stayed silently below the radar. Kele Okereke and co., we’ve missed you. The band haven’t given us anything since their 2008 album, Intimacy, except rumours of a split. But now they’re making up for it, having played taster shows around the UK during the last few months, treating audiences to a preview of their new album ‘Four’ ahead of its release on August 20. Expect a set chock-full of new tracks, with support from funk-rockers, Theme Park.
If you can’t possibly wait until October, you can catch them playing KOKO in London tonight.
US
Morrissey / US Tour / October 10 – December 8
Prepare for an evening of melancholic dramatics, as Morrissey and his quiff continue their relentless touring with a sizable US stint this Autumn. Don’t miss the chance to witness The Smiths classics live, along with his acclaimed solo material. The eccentric Kristeen Young, will be supporting on all dates, despite being kicked off his tour back in 2007 for using “profane comments”. Let’s hope she stays on her best behaviour this time around!
What’s more—If you’re lucky enough to be in LA, special guests Iggy & the Stooges will be co-headlining at the Staples Center on November 24. Don’t miss it!
