Say Hello to Songkick Concerts on Android

It’s here! Lots of you have been asking for the Songkick experience on Android, and we’re super excited to tell you today that our new app is now available to download on Google Play.

We’ve taken advantage of the latest Ice Cream Sandwich user experience standards to give our Android app a killer feature set. For example, the home screen widget provides real-time updates when your favorite bands announce tour dates near you.

Another cool feature is the sexytime gesture-based navigation. It’s easy to swipe between your plans, new concerts and all concerts in your location. And of course notifications ensure you find out about new concerts before tickets go on sale.

You can track your favorite artists from your Android music library, Google Music account, Pandora or Last.fm app, taking advantage of the Android 4.0 content provider framework. Take all the things you’ve come to love about the Songkick experience on the go on your Android device.

Other Android features we’re excited about:

- Import your favorite artists from your Facebook, Pandora or Last.fm accounts.
- Jump-to-letter alphabet scrolling that makes it quick to move through your tracked bands.
- Invite friends to concerts, and add them to your Google Calendar.
- Embedded Google Maps make navigation quick and easy.
