Concert memorabilia from our community!

The other week we ran a little giveaway over on our Facebook page, asking Songkickers to share their best pieces of concert memorabilia. It was really cool to see all the different bits and pieces that people have collected – from a banana peel, to a signed glass – here’s the pick of the bunch!

From Songkicker debbie-mota:

“Liam Gallagher gave us his tabourine when Oasis played the Pearl Theater in Las Vegas in December, 2008.”

From Songkicker sugarspun:

“The wine glass Lily Allen drank from on stage at her first LA show at the Troubadour, signed for me : )”

From Songkicker ilmarinen:

“From the Sonata Arctica gig in Reading on 24rd March. A drumstick (my first and only one) thrown by the drummer of Labyrinth which I managed to catch and got signed afterwards”

From Songkicker Tom Duke:

“Signed banana peel from Otto, lead (and only) guitarist of Die Roten Punkte.”

From Songkicker Corina Breukel:

“Instead of leaflets, David Thomas Broughton distributed facemasks, all differently handwritten on the back.”

From Songkicker nitakhecill:

“My concert memorabilia. priceless! Stereophonics = Kelly’s pick, Javier’s drum stick, Adam’s pick, setlist. Dashboard Confessional = Chris’s pick, setlist. Lifehouse = Jason’s pick, Ben’s pick. Secondhand Serenade = setlist. McFly = pick. Boys Like Girls = Bryan’s pick. Rachael Yamagata = setlist. Boyce Avenue = Setlist”

From Songkicker shivadescending

“Fully autographed setlist for the Comsat Angels, Islington Oct 2009 – a thanks for helping out with merch”

And lastly, the crowned winner for the sheer volume of his collection, blazin:

Here’s his breakdown of some of the stuff he’s saved over the years:

“On the far left, you can see one of my absolute favorites, some flowers from Edie Brickell’s garden. She was the first artist I ever went to see live, outside of the county fair!

I had a Coachella water bottle signed by Greg Araki (filmmaker) at the festival. That’s one of my prized possessions.

Also, drum sticks from Friendly Fires and Thrill Kill Kult;

Guitar picks from NIN and Peaches;

Limited edition posters from Friendly Fires, Delphic, Concrete Blonde, Les Butcherettes, Scissor Sisters, Psychic TV, Monarchy, etc;

Gigantic homemade scissors signed by Scissor Sisters that were used as a prop on Jimmy Kimmel Live! when they appeared on the show, and their “Fuck The Rich” 3-dollar-bills that rained down on the audience;

An original T-shirt from the VERY first Lollapalloza (Phoenix, AZ July 18 1991);

A flyer from my very first rave, Love Quest (2-13-93), discovered 18 years later in a friend’s flyer stash;

A painted replica of a wood duck feather that was sold at the merch booth by Phantogram as a tour souvenir;

Prism-effect glasses given out by Little Boots for her laser harp show, and another pair from Flaming Lips’ cemetery gig in Hollywood…

…and the list goes on and on. All of the above are in the photo. Most of my OTHER memorabilia, including flyers, setlists, posters, photos, stickers, magazine articles and many, many ticket stubs have been uploaded to my Songkick profile already. These are just some of the items that can’t be uploaded!”

Thanks to everyone who took part! Make sure you’ve liked us on Facebook so you don’t miss out on any contests we’re running :)
